To identify, celebrate, and elevate leadership within the global Asian leather community — building a stage where Asian leathermen are the center of the story, not an afterthought.

Asian leathermen have long enriched the global leather community — as organizers, educators, artists, and tireless community builders. Their contributions have shaped leather culture across continents, yet the stages have rarely reflected that depth of presence or purpose.
IMAL was created to change that. We offer a dedicated, international platform for Asian leather leaders to be seen, heard, and celebrated — not as an afterthought, but as the entire point. This is not a side stage. This is the main event.
By holding the competition virtually, we remove geography as a barrier entirely. Whether you're based in Manila, Melbourne, Mumbai, or Minneapolis — if you identify as Asian and carry a vision for your leather community, this title was built for you.
No travel required. Contestants from any country participate on equal footing.
The only international leather title created specifically for Asian-identifying leathermen.
The titleholder serves as ambassador, mentor, and community voice for a full year.

A Note From the Executive Producer
[Placeholder — replace with Ray's first-person note: why IMAL was started, what the visibility gap looks like from the ground, and what this title should represent for the first person to hold it.]
[2–3 short paragraphs, first person, conversational — this is the one section on the page that should sound like a person, not an institution.]
— Ray Mi, Executive Producer, IMAL
Will you be the first International Mister Asian Leather? The titleholder serves a one-year term as ambassador for Asian leather communities worldwide — representing the community at virtual events, interviews, and panels, and helping build a stage that didn't exist before now.
